Honda Ships Largest Single-Cylinder GX430 Gasoline Engine to OEMs
Honda Power Equipment started regional shipments of the GX430, the biggest single-cylinder gasoline engine in the GX portfolio. The 429 cm³ OHV unit outputs 9.6 kW and 27.2 N·m while retaining the same PTO footprint as the outgoing GX390, letting generator, pump and trowel makers upgrade without re-tooling frames. A new resin camshaft and pent-roof combustion chamber cut weight by 1.8 kg and lower fuel consumption 6 %. The first 5,000 units left Kumamoto in August bound for Southeast-Asian rental fleets.
